The Crew won’t have a starter this year, but who will represent them via reserves is still unknown
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Milwaukee Brewers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
In this week’s fan survey brought to you by FanDuel, we asked fans which Brewer player they believe is most deserving of representing the team at this year’s All-Star game in Atlanta.
After tallying the votes, there’s a clear frontrunner:

Brice Turang, 25, made a case for an All-Star selection in his sophomore year of 2024, as he hit .277/.341/.390 with six homers, 38 RBIs, 45 runs, and 30 steals in the first half, also providing plus-plus defense en route to a Platinum Glove Award.
This year, he’s been even better.
Through 83 games, he’s hitting .288/.361/.380 with five homers, 36 RBIs, 55 runs, and 17 steals while once again providing plus-plus defense, accumulating 3.2 bWAR, good for the highest total on the team.
It’s no surprise that he garnered 40% of the vote.
Freddy Peralta came in second in our voting with 26% of the vote, followed by Christian Yelich at 18% and “somebody else” at 16%.
Peralta had another strong start yesterday, as he’s now 9-4 with a 2.91 ERA and 3.84 FIP through 18 starts. He’s struck out 104 batters in 99 innings and has a good shot at eclipsing 200 strikeouts for the third straight season.
Yelich, who had an ice-cold start, has been solid since late May, as he’s now hitting .259/.337/.4660 with 17 homers, 61 RBIs, 43 runs, and 12 steals in 81 games.
Beyond those three guys, the Brewers have several other potential candidates in Sal Frelick, William Contreras, Nick Mears, Abner Uribe, just to name a few.
