Top Pitching Performance of the Week
The Brewers entered Sunday on a three-game skid in a key matchup against the division rival Cubs. In order to avoid a sweep, Freddy Peralta stepped up for a dominant shutout performance. He went six innings with seven strikeouts and limited the Cubs to a mere four hits. After his clean bill against Chicago, Peralta lowered his season ERA to 2.18. His changeup was once again a weapon, getting four whiffs on 10 swings against the pitch while forcing weak contact when the Cubs did manage to get the ball in play.

Top Hitting Performance of the Week
The Brewers’ lineup didn’t have a single player who dominated the week, but William Contreras once again proved invaluable to the lineup. Although he only posted a .703 OPS, his two RBIs came at crucial points in the White Sox series to tie or take the lead. He didn’t hit for much power, but he had a .440 OBP, which is certainly a solid base point if there aren’t many home runs coming for Contreras at the moment.
Isaac Collins is an honorable mention here. Over the last seven days, he has a .983 OPS. Since that came with significantly fewer plate appearances, he might not have been the performer of the week, but he played a key role. The same goes for Caleb Durbin, who tacked on a team-high five RBIs over the last week.

Injury Notes & Roster Moves
- Sal Frelick was forced out of Sunday’s game early with left knee discomfort. After an awkward swing, he remained in the game for another defensive inning before exiting. It’s another injury worry in the depleted outfield. He’ll get an MRI this week.
- On Friday, the Brewers sent DL Hall out on a rehab assignment to the ACL Brewers.
- The Brewers made a pair of moves on Saturday by sending Craig Yoho down to Triple-A Nashville. To match this move, they brought up right-handed pitcher Elvin Rodriguez, who started the season with the big league squad before being sent down.
