Top Pitching Performance of the Week
The answer has gotta be Brandon Woodruff, right? In his first game in nearly two years, he went six frames in a winning performance against the Marlins, striking out eight and allowing just one run via two hits and no walks. What’s more is that he did it on just 70 pitches.

Top Hitting Performance of the Week
Jackson Chourio had a great week, going 8-for-22 with a pair of homers, a pair of doubles, five RBIs, five runs, and a steal. Honorable mention to Isaac Collins (six hits, homer, double).

Injury Notes & Roster Moves
- Ahead of their series in New York, the Brewers made a flurry of roster moves. RHP Easton McGee was recalled and IF Anthony Seigler was selected from Triple-A Nashville. To open up those roster spots, OF Daz Cameron was designated for assignment and LHP Rob Zastryzny was placed on the 15-day IL with a rib injury. Cameron cleared waivers and was outrighted to Nashville on Saturday.
- RHP Craig Yoho was recalled as the 27th man for Wednesday’s doubleheader. He was optioned back to Nashville on Thursday.
- LHP Nestor Cortes Jr. was sent to Triple-A Nashville on a rehab assignment. He could be back shortly after the All-Star break.
- RHP Brandon Woodruff made his much-anticipated return to the Brewers on Sunday, with RHP Chad Patrick optioned to Triple-A Nashville to open up the active roster spot. OF Garrett Mitchell, who underwent shoulder surgery last week, was moved to the 60-day IL to open up the 40-man spot. He has already been ruled out for the remainder of 2025.
- First baseman Rhys Hoskins suffered a thumb sprain while making a tag in Saturday’s loss to the Marlins. After initial X-rays came back negative, an MRI revealed the sprain, which means Hoskins will head to the IL. The team is expected to make the roster move on Monday.
